Donald5555 With familiar faces and voices alluringly speaking around him he decides to put his right foot, followed by his left, down unto the ladder rungs and begin gradually stepping his way up out of the deep trench of wrongful ideas hoping to discover a foreign place no mortal eye has seen.
Donald5555 As he climbs up out of the depth he wrestles to organize and put into healthy perspective his frequently disturbed, troubled thoughts and emotions, a perspective on reality that can fall into error, as he looks around and glimpses a wooded glen, a flower dotted meadow, a spruce tree lined dale, a sunlit bay, a brilliantly lit night sky,
Donald5555 He finds these scenes of beauty sublime to observe but at the same time he recognizes the ladder is quickly becoming precarious to hold onto; troubled by this, he recognizes he's also being tempted to react to troubled thoughts in his mind. These are deliberate provocations, he recognizes well from experience, attacks that effect his emotions, thought, and judgment, but only in certain areas of thinking, that attempt to disrupt his peace of mind, throw his understanding of reality into chaos, provoking him to want to verbally lash out, or potentially worse if he didn't know how to respond now, throwing his mood, judgment, perspective into chaos, and he'd grown to recognize and understand well the source of this attack originates from an actual intelligent saboteur.
Donald5555 In this way, because of these experiences, and what he recognizes in having them, he understands this life is by design not a gentle quarrel free existence but deliberately prepared as an environment made to put human beings through our paces, challenges, struggles, as we move rightfully toward the good or in error into darkness.
Donald5555 When confronted by life's great uncertainty, the human person does not know if good is real, if fairness overarches existence, or if life is random, or worse, run by an evil genius, and not knowing if good matters, while often lost to moral chaos, this uncertainty of not knowing if hope is real, not knowing the potential reaches of love, and its possibilities, means the human perspective is adrift in the noman's land between recognizing meaning and purpose, or experiencing meaninglessness, at least beyond the meaning we give our lives.
Donald5555 If this life's terms were not uncertain, or hopeless; if the truth of what existence is about was known, and this revealed not only that human life matters, but has purpose now, and beyond this world, I think we would have a great weight lifted off our shoulders; the heaviness of our moods would lighten; our worries, dread, anxieties, deliberative mindsets would be free from frequently dreadful existential struggles; but
Donald555 perhaps we are not meant to be free from existential struggle, at least not for now, not yet; if we could see beyond the darkness, that often misguides us, that good is real, that life has purpose, that hope is not futile as a perspective but anchored irremovably, not only to the universe, but to all otherness to be accounted for by God's ways, then no matter how mysterious, far reaching, continues, or unending life is, we'd understand
Donald555 definitively a furtherance into God's unstoppable ways; how many of us have looked at good and dared to believe that despite the worlds ugliness, free from the shadows, the awful errors, is a light that offers a brightness of good that knows no end.
